A wonderfully illustrated storyboard telling ‘How the birds got their colours’ was created by Georgia during our literacy sessions last week – a truly outstanding piece of work!
Just what does make a ‘Good Student?’ Risinu and Jameson listed the qualities they believe a good student should possess – it’s hard to disagree with them!
A friendly reminder to all 5MD students and parents that our school photos are next Wednesday, February 18th. Photos can be ordered by returning the order form to school along with the relevant payment or they can be made online. Thank-you!
Sweet and savory pikelets were on the menu last Thursday and were thoroughly enjoyed by all the cooking students, aides and classroom teachers too! What an amazing job everyone does in the kitchen and the skills the students learn are an absolute bonus. I only hope that the extras made it home for the cooking class students’ parents to eat!
Just a reminder to all 5MD students who will be attending the Grade 3-6 Swimming Carnival on Wednesday February 11th, that you need to be at school by 8:45 am. Please remember to bring all the things you need for the day; snack, lunch, drinks, hat, towel and sunscreen. Remember to check the notice as to exactly what you need to bring, ask me or check with Mrs Gamble in Phys. Ed. on Tuesday.
I hope you have a fantastic day, swim well and display wonderful sportsmanship. I can’t wait to see you when you return and hear how you went; fingers crossed for successful swimming!
What a fantastic start to 2015 by all the students in 5MD – great job everyone! Also, a big ‘THANK-YOU’ to your parents for enabling such an effortless beginning to what promises to be a busy, but rewarding year in Grade 5. I can’t wait for the year to unfold! 🙂
What a year it was! A super huge “THANK-YOU” to ALL my wonderful students who lived their lives in 5D last year. It was an amazing year filled with lots of fun, laughter and learning too! I wish you all nothing but the very best for 2015, Grade 6 and your final year at Oatlands Primary School. I know you will go on to bigger and better things; I am so proud of each and every one of you. Thank-you once again!
P.S. Thank-you for the many visits I’ve already had – I just LOVE them!
