The students in 5MD love to share what they are learning and experiencing through this blog.

The involvement of family members in our blog is so important. It makes everything we do at school more meaningful and special.

In an effort to include more family members in our online community, we are starting a new blog comment challenge called:

June is Family Blogging Month!

Whenever a family member (or family friend) leaves us a comment, the student will record it on our blog comment chart using the following codes:

blog codes

At the end of June, the student who has the most comments from different family members will win a prize! In order to keep the challenge fair to everyone, each student can only record one comment on the chart per day. So the goal is to get as many different family members involved as possible during the month-long challenge!

Having conversations through commenting is one of the best parts of blogging so in your comments feel free to ask questions and reply to other people’s questions.

We’re inviting everyone to comment including mums, dads, brothers, sisters, grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts, cousins and family friends. This can include family or friends from interstate or overseas.

* Family members don’t have to comment only on this post, they can comment on any post on our blog.

* If you are not sure how to leave a comment, see the ‘How to Leave a Comment’ tab at the top of this blog.

Happy Mother’s Morning 5MD!

Words cannot express how excited the students of 5MD were to share the morning with their Mums and Nanna today. After baking the Chocolate Caramel Slice as our grade’s contribution to our Morning Tea and helping to set up the BASC building too, it was just beautiful to see so many 5MD students spending time with their Mums and Nanna too!

Thank-you all so much for coming to our special Morning Tea just for you; you are loved more than words can say! 🙂

Contracted Words

Today, we had a task to find out information about contractions. We learnt about history/origin, definition and unusual contracted words. Our class had a choice of using Strip Designer or Pic Collage. As you can see I used Pic Collage. I think 5MD really enjoyed learning about contractions.
